The Toyota Fortuner Legender is powered by a BS6 compliant 2.8-litre diesel engine. This oil-burner churns out a massive 204 HP of power and a whopping 500 Nm of peak torque. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed torque-converter automatic transmission only.
The Legender looks sportier than the standard Fortuner. It gets new quad-LED headlamps, instead of the bi-LED units found on the standard model. The grille is also sleeker while the bumper is redesigned with a larger central air dam and sleeker fog lamp housing. The Legender also comes with dynamic turn indicators.
The interior quality of materials, touch, and feel is the same. It doesn't feel as rich or a worthy upgrade for more than Rs 40 lakh on-road price that you'll pay. On the other hand, the Fortuner does provide almost all that's required, in fact, even comes with a 4x4 system at a slightly lesser price.
